When Grandma Lighten brought the girls to see me and Sophie at the hospital the second day (we were at seperate hospitals...but Addie didn't realize that.) Anyhow, as soon as Addie got into Labor and delivery unit, she ran up to the reception desk nurses, and raised her arms up high and asked very loudly "where is Sophie-a-Dophie?" Of course they had no idea who or what this little girls waas talking aboaut, but Grandma got a hold of her and brought the girls into my room.
When Addie did see Sophie in the hospital the second time, she had been moved into the room with lots of babies, that were alot less critical. I took Addie in, and she said "babies! lets count them...one...two...three..." the nurses were loving Addie. Then I pointed out Sophie, and Addie got all excited and pointed to her feet. She said "look mom, (pointing to one foot)feet....(noticing she had another)TWO FEETS!" (as though she thought there would only be one). Funny girl.
Okay, I told Addie some funny stories last night about when she was a "baby". She giggled so hard, and wanted more stories. I don't want to forget this stuff, so I will add more funny/sweet things to the blog that may be random and irrelevent to you , but mean the world to us...
Alright, if any of you all play your kids webkinz accounts, if your webkinz gets sick, you have to take him to Dr. Quack. So one day our real dog Scamper had a check up at the vet. So all day I told Addie we were taking Scamp to Dr. Quack and she was really excited. Finally we get to the vet that the doctor came in. Addie was SO disappointed! She kept saying "where is dr. Quack?" I said this is the pet doctor. She kept asking for Dr. Quack (which kinda threw the doctor off.) Rylee and I were laughing at Addie at this point, because we realized she honestly expected a giant duck doctor to come treat scamp. It was really funny, because this was like 6 months ago, and I had assumed that addie was intelligent enough to understand there is really no real life giant duck doctors practicing medicine on dogs!
Then there was the time Dallan was out of town...Addie was about 2 and a half. At about 3 am, house pitch black and quite. Addie came into my room with a gallon of ice cream, woke me and said "mmmm, I cameam." I heard Scamp out of his crete disoriented in the hallway. So basically she woke up in the middle of the night, went down stairs in the dark, thought it would be a good idea to let scamp out of his crate, grab some ice cream, and bring it up to me thinking I would be proud of her! It was really funny. I think I gave her a bite or two and snuggled her back to bed.
This one is good. When Addie was about 3 she was a nudist, everyone in our cul de sac had seen her all nude at one point or another. One mid morning, I was taking a bath, and McKenna calmly says "Addie ran outside adn is naked." So I quickly get out of the tub and dressed as fast as possible. Addie had run accross the street and down one house. They had a nice harly davidson parked diagonally across their driveway. Guess who was on it all nude! It was the funniest thing I had ever seen. I would have run home for a camera, but then I thought that the neighbors had thought I was staging the photoshoot. I do have that photo in my head, and it will never fade for sure!
The other day at dinner, I made jello with peaches for dessert. (I rarely make Jello), so Addie was curious about what it would be. When she finally got her dessert she looked at me seriously and asked "mom? Why is this Jello made out of rubber?"

Oh that Beekie-do is one funny little lady! Loved all the stories, but my favorite is probably Dr Quack! I'm trying to think of some funny Addie stories, if I do I will add another comment!
Addie is so SO funny, I will try to think, too, mainly, she uses such grown up language for such a little girl. One I remember which shows her maturity, and also thoughtfulness was when Kasey came to the house one day ( while the twins were still in the hospital) and Addie yells," Kasey! How are the babies?" Very mature, and thoughtful, too, for a 4 year old.!
Ya know what? I loved reading every word of that. She is one cutie patootie. I think it's great that you wrote it all down. She'll love reading that when she's older. :)
